Cook 1
  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

  • Cooking experience highly recommended

  • Food Safety Course, WHMIS, 1st Aid and Criminal Record check required

  • Experience with Nutritional diets, food preparation and grocery orders taking into account the content, balance, colour and nutritional values in line with an agreed budget

  • To implement a 4-week menu rotation

  • Keep an accurate inventory of kitchen supplies

Personal Care Worker
  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

  • Food Safety, 1st Aid, and WHMIS certificates

  • Personal Care Worker Course (online 2 day course that can be taken within 90 days of hire)

Duties to Include:

  • Resident Care: Includes the assistance of personal hygiene as well as encouraging residents to maintain independence

  • Resident programming: Includes the facilitation of resident daily living activities and participation in the community

  • Home Assistance: Includes housekeeping laundry and the preparation of meals and snacks.

  • Support residents in meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

  • Medication assistance once the required Medication module is completed

  • Ability to work independently

Additionally:

  • Requires a Criminal Record check

Recommended:

  • A good understanding of written English and able to communicate effectively in the English language.
